Manager, People & Culture Full-time | Hybrid – Edmonton, Alberta About the Role The Manager, People & Culture plays a key role in shaping an inclusive, connected, and forward-thinking workplace. This role ensures that people systems and processes work seamlessly together to support compliance, consistency, and continuous improvement. With a focus on integration and alignment, the Manager strengthens how HR practices connect across the organization; linking data, policy, practice, and culture in ways that enhance both efficiency and an empowered employee experience. Balancing process oversight with people leadership, the Manager turns strategy into practical solutions that bring clarity, connection, and care across the workplace. Key Areas of Contributions Lead and mentor the People & Culture team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth. Coordinate HR systems and processes to ensure integration, accuracy, and continuous improvement. Partner with leaders to support recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning. Support implementation and application of HR policies, audits, and process improvements. Contribute to organizational culture initiatives that strengthen engagement, belonging, and recognition. Guide learning, health, and safety initiatives that promote wellbeing, inclusion, and compliance. Coordinate HR systems and processes to ensure integration, accuracy, and continuous improvement. What It Takes We recognize that people build knowledge and skill through both formal learning and practical leadership. Success in this role comes from blending education with hands-on experience leading people, strengthening systems and workplace culture. Post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Minimum five (5) years of progressive and practical HR experience, including leadership of people or projects. Strong understanding of employment legislation, OHS, and HR best practices. Demonstrated experience integrating systems and improving HR operations. Skilled communicator who leads with a people-first mindset, navigating change with empathy and confidence. Brings steadiness, humility, and courage when working within strong cultures and differing perspectives; able to build trust, invite dialogue, and move forward amid resistance or competing priorities. Demonstrates cultural humility and an active commitment to equity by questioning dominant norms, recognizing systemic bias, and ensuring that policies and practices honour the experiences and strengths of all employees.
