OverviewAlexander College is looking for dynamic and well-qualified faculty members to join us in building and developing a proposed Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence. This innovative degree is designed to equip students with practical, industry-aligned skills in applied AI and human-centered computing. Alternatively, a Master’s with extensive industry/teaching experience may be considered).Demonstrated excellence in post-secondary teaching and course development.Proven ability to teach a range of systems-related and applied computing courses.Industry experience in system design, databases, cloud platforms, or secure infrastructure is a strong asset.All applications will be vetted to ensure compliance with DQAB’s definitions of “academically qualified” or “experientially qualified” faculty.Additional Attributes and AbilitiesExcellent interpersonal skills.Knowledge of course learning outcomes an asset.Proficient with educational technology including databases and online learning environments.Excellent instructional capability.Able to maintain professionalism and cordiality when working with others.Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs and applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, etc.)Strong proficiency in spoken and written English.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrior to program start-up, the emphasis will be on curriculum development and institutional service in the Alexander Innovation Centre.
