This role will be responsible for customer invoicing, revenue recognition, and accounts receivable management. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting background, attention to detail, and experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments. This is a hands-on role with exposure to cross-functional teams, including Sales, Customer Success, and Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A).Things You Get To Do:Own multi-entity invoicing process; prepare and issue accurate customer invoices in line with contract termsManage accounts receivable, including monitoring collections, applying payments, and resolving customer billing inquiries.Ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and company policies.Review and reconcile deferred revenue accounts and maintain supporting schedules.Partner with Sales and Customer Success teams to review contracts and ensure billing and revenue treatment are compliant.Assist in month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and revenue reporting.Support external audits by preparing revenue-related schedules and documentation.Identify and implement process improvements to streamline invoicing, revenue, and AR workflows.Assist with ad hoc projects and system implementations as needed.Who You Are (Must-Haves):Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.3-5 years of accounting experience, ideally in financial servicesSolid understanding of U.S. GAAP, specifically ASC 606 revenue recognition.Ability to obtain FINRA Series 27 after hireStrong Excel/Google Sheets skills; experience with Sage Intacct is a plusExperience with billing, collections, and revenue management systems is a plus.Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.Must possess the ability to adapt to a changing business and regulatory environmentHow We Take Care of You:Competitive Salary & Stock OptionsNew Hire Home-Office Setup: One-time USD $500Monthly Stipend: USD $150 per month via a Brex CardAlpaca is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace dedicated to pursuing and hiring a diverse workforce. #J-18808-Ljbffr
