Focused on asphalt paving, concrete, municipal site services, landscape construction and other exterior construction, Forest has provided quality solutions for over 20 years.We are currently looking for Traffic Control Personnel (TCPs) to join our growing teamReporting directly the Crew Supervisor, the TCPs will be responsible for safely controlling the flow of traffic around various Forest Contractors work sites.Additional responsibilities include:
  • Directing the flow of traffic around active construction zones using a variety of tools including signs and 2-way radios.
  • Following the traffic control plan as written and communicated by the Site Supervisor, Supervisor and/or Project Manager.
  • Communicating with Site Supervisors and other TCPs to ensure traffic is flowing efficiently and with as minimal disruption as possible.
  • Interacting with pedestrians and motorists, as needed.
  • Reporting any unsafe acts or conditions observed while controlling traffic.
  • Working at multiple locations and under a variety of weather conditions.
  • Working night shifts, as required.
  • Other duties, as required.
Qualified candidates will possess:
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work as a part of a team.
  • Experience in the construction industry as a TCP considered an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A safety conscious demeanor and willingness to adhere to company safety policies, practices and procedures.
  • The ability to follow instructions
  • A valid driver’s license (G2 or G) with the ability to travel to multiple sites.
