The successful candidate will have a passion for building strong patient relationships and contributing to success of the office. Schedule: Monday and Thursday 8:00am-4:00pm, Tuesday 10:00am-6:00pm Location: Connexion Dental Care Group - 261 Montreal Road, #400, Vanier, ON Responsibilities Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviourClinical chairside assisting duties for a variety of dental procedures such as, but not limited to: general dentistry, endodontics, surgeryRadiographs (as prescribed by the Dentist) or dental impressions as requiredLab duties, as required (impressions, fabrication of mouthguards, etc.)Sterilization and disinfection with required reportingEnsure that the dentist you are assisting has the necessary dental supplies on hand to perform dental proceduresPrepare treatment rooms in accordance with best practices of infection controlThorough understanding and respect of health and safety requirementsAssist dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessaryAssist in updating and maintaining client dental records and appointmentsEnsure all treatment consent forms have been completed and gatheredProvide post-operative care instructions as requiredEnsuring all clinical and storage areas are clean and organizedMonitor, maintain/order dental supply inventory on a weekly and monthly basis as requiredIdentify gaps in clinical schedule and make recommendations to the Office ManagerCollaborate with colleagues during down-time in scheduleAttend continuing education events from time to time and as required Qualifications Graduate from applicable Dental Assisting Program (Level II)Successful completion of the National Dental Assisting Examining Board (NDAEB) preferredExcellent communication and people skillsExperience with AbelDent a plusBilingual in French and English considered an assetAttention to detail, organized and reliableAdditional certification or training is an asset #indeedmca1 MCA values diversity and is committed to creating and fostering a diverse team and an inclusive work environment.
