Agro Division Manager

Central Alberta Co-op is hiring a full-time Agro Division Manager at our administration office in Red Deer, Alberta. The Agro Division Manager will be responsible for doing day trips to our four Agro locations in Stettler, Innisfail, Crossfield, and Lacombe to support our Agro Managers. Central Alberta Co-op will also provide a company vehicle for this role.

Availability requirements: Weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- The Agro Division Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Agriculture department by supporting and creating organizational effectiveness and providing leadership within their operational functions.
- As a member of the senior management team, this position also contributes to the growth & development of the agro division and the implementation of organizational strategies, policies, and practices.
- You will be responsible for sales, margin, expenses, inventory, and SPEH of Agro locations.
- You will ensure all staff adhere to Co-op standards regarding merchandising, signage, staff appearance, housekeeping, Health & Safety, Loss prevention, and environmental due diligence.
- You will actively make marketing efforts, adhere to advertising standards, and contribute input to division marketing plans.
- You will lead the development of the tactical and strategic plan by researching and providing recommendations to senior management on trends and required strategies.
- You will follow proper recruitment and orientation practices and ensure the administration of People & Culture policies to develop positive relationships with all employees.
- You will assist agro managers in developing a quality yearly staff training plan and ensure that this is followed.
- You will perform other duties as required by the Director, Operations (B2B).

Qualifications:- Retail experience is considered an asset.
- Bachelor's degree would be an asset and 8+ years of experience in a leadership or management role or a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Experience in overseeing and monitoring client satisfaction levels.
- Experience in coaching and providing feedback to other team members.
- Ability to control operational costs, maximize operational efficiency through increased sales and margins.
- Experience with growth and development planning.
