Overview Thales is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator in Halifax – Wilkinson, Canada. The role is Hybrid, providing support to Ship Maintenance Leads and the broader Service Delivery team managing Technical Support Network (TSN) subcontractors during each Work Period. Location & Hybrid Halifax – Wilkinson, Canada. Hybrid – office, naval dockyard, and ship onboard. Key Responsibilities Provision of general project support and administration activities to the Waterfront Service Delivery Team; reviewing and ensuring that maintenance instructions are complete and sufficient for service providers to complete assigned maintenance operations. Assist assigned Ship Maintenance Lead with work period planning; overseeing maintenance activities conducted by service providers to ensure quality, safety, and environmental compliance; compiling Work Item closure reports; generating and managing documentation and reports in Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Ensure subcontracted service providers have the necessary paperwork and materials; track and resolve Corrective Maintenance / Operation Deficiencies; attend meetings and prepare agendas and minutes. Maintain accurate records; update DRMIS with Corrective and Preventative Maintenance records; assist in onsite Worker Access Management System administration. Qualifications Minimum 2-year technical program diploma, recognized technical institute or university degree, or certified as a technician by a provincial licensing body in a relevant field; or certified as Navy QL 6 or above for technical trades of the RCN. Experience within procurement, project management or operations highly desirable; project experience interfacing between internal/external stakeholders. Minimum two years of previous experience working within the Military or an Industrial Contract or Project desirable; experience with the Defense Resource Management Information System (DRMIS) is advantageous. Experience working in SAP or comparable ERP or Asset Management software is advantageous. Previous experience in ship-refit and repair activities is advantageous. Physical Demands Predominantly working onsite in the Naval Dockyard and onboard Naval Vessels; also required to work from the office or from home. Will be required to undertake inspections, including confined space entry, on Naval ships involving bending and twisting; tasks may also require working at heights. Special Position Requirements Must meet all federal government requirements to access Canadian government facilities, including naval dockyards. Occasional domestic or international travel required, which will include access to government facilities and assets, including naval vessels.
