The Procurement Partnering Manager - Canada is accountable for acting as the primary business partner to drive procurement engagement, processes, and compliance for the Roche Canada Pharma affiliate.

The role ensures that business partnering and all day-to-day operational sourcing activities such as ad-hoc, call-off, and unplanned or reactive Business-led buying activities are delivered at the site ensuring maximum possible procurement impact.

The Opportunity:

  • Procurement ambassador and customer partner - Act as the primary point of contact for Canadian Affiliate business customers focused on representing and leveraging the global procurement networks to deliver for and optimize customer experiences and outcomes, including identifying procurement opportunities, promoting solutions, and advocating for customer compliance.
  • Strategy developer - deliver customer-targeted procurement strategies, with accountability for creating and maintaining a holistic, long-term, and targeted plan to support the applicable business.
  • Drive procurement engagement - Drive Procurement penetration and compliance across spend for the site(s) and ensure this spend is channeled through the appropriate processes.
  • Requisition to Receipt - support local affiliate R2R process.
  • Responsible for ensuring that site level procurement activities are conducted in compliance with local and globally relevant policies, standards, guidelines, and operating procedures.
  • 5-7 years of procurement experience with a focus on professional services sourcing.
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated understanding of translating business requirements into procurement operations with customer service in mind.
  • Strong local stakeholder management skills and capability in upwards management.
  • In-depth understanding of local business activities, deep knowledge of procurement spend management approaches, and strong planning and prioritization skills to engage all appropriate parties for decision making.
  • Professional purchasing (e.g. CSCMP) or Finance related licenses or certifications.
  • Experience with enterprise systems and procure-to-pay tools such as Ariba, SAP or other purchase requisition technology.
