**Position**: Manager, Procurement and Logistics
**Reports to**: Director, Operational Excellence

**Job Purpose**:
The Manager, Procurement and Logistics acts as an authorized agent of World Vision Canada with the responsibility of managing all supply chain-related activity.
Leads the strategic sourcing and logistics team and manages the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of activities related to the sourcing and acquisition of goods and services, supplier assessment and performance improvement, improvement of supply chain management and processes, logistics and warehouse operations.
Designs and develops procurement strategies and initiatives for World Vision Canada to reduce cycle time, achieve process efficiency and deliver cost savings and additional non-financial value to the organization such as maintaining healthy sustainable relationships with suppliers and World Vision teams.
They work collaboratively with other business units to ensure procurement, sourcing and logistics needs are met in a timely manner and within the budget, in accordance with World Vision Canada’s established policies and procedures.

**Responsibilities**:
Strategic Sourcing and Procurement
- Design and develop large-scale complex procurement strategies, RFX (RFI, RFP, RFQ) documents, and evaluation frameworks.
- Strategically source new vendors for better quality and more suitable goods and services and negotiate for better prices and/or increased overall value.
- Conduct annual planning to streamline repetitive procurement of goods and services to increase competitive tendering and internal processes.
- Collaborate and participate in quarterly planning with other business units to ensure sourcing requirements are defined, approved, and procured in a timely, well-documented and cost-efficient manner.
- Lead World Vision Canada’s business units through sourcing and contract negotiations, in accordance with relevant policies and procedures, to achieve cost savings and the best price and value for goods and services within the required timelines.
- Manage and ensure timely purchase and delivery of goods and services in accordance with World Vision Canada’s procurement and policies and procedures.
- Maintain and administer contract process flow and assist with drafting major contracts as necessary.
- Manage the performance and contracts of long-term and short-term suppliers.
- Ensure that the supplier database is updated, as necessary, and arrange for preferred supplier agreements for the types of goods and services that are demanded on a regular basis.
- Use excellent communication and customer service skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors and other business partners.
- Assist in the development and review of purchasing policies and procedures for World Vision Canada and make appropriate recommendations that reflect best practice.
- Review and identify opportunities for continuous improvement, cost savings and other non-financial value within the function.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports on procurement spend and savings as required.

Logistics Management
- Assist with the development of logistics policies and procedures for World Vision Canada and make appropriate recommendations that reflect best practice.
- Plan and manage logistics, warehouse and fulfillment functions within World Vision Canada
- Oversee and monitor the storage and distribution of goods, including the logistics for overseas shipments to the field.
- Collaborate with the relevant business units and suppliers to ensure seamless and timely coordination of logistics for the Gift-in-Kind program (donated goods).
- Establish and manage mechanisms for tracking quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport/shipping costs and efficiency.
- Maintain metrics to assess performance and implement improvements.
- Ensure that team members, other business units and suppliers comply with relevant safety standards, and other relevant laws, regulations and procedures.
