Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst for a 12-month contract position, with possible extensions in Edmonton, Alberta. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week. This role can be hybrid.

Role Description

The Senior Business Analyst will work with the team to ensure seamless integration and adoption of key systems. Responsibilities include developing business architecture models, coordinating MS Dynamics 365 CRM and 1GX ERP integration, and leading data migration and system decommissioning efforts. The ideal candidate will also oversee reporting and analytics initiatives to enhance decision-making and support operational transitions.

Responsibilities
  • Perform business analysis activities to develop and maintain current and future state business architecture models, including requirements, business processes, business rules, and information models.
  • Coordinate the implementation and ongoing enhancements of the organization's CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) software solution, including integration with 1GX ERP.
  • Oversee data migration and integration initiatives using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services, ensuring data integrity between legacy systems and CRM.
  • Develop and execute transition plans for the migration of information, processes, and business rules from legacy systems to new solutions.
  • Provide technical project coordination for the development, testing, and implementation of reporting and business intelligence assets, including dashboards and dynamic reports.
  • Create acceptance criteria, test plans, and test cases to support the evaluation of solution enhancements and ensure alignment with organizational requirements.
  • Coordinate the decommissioning of legacy applications and systems, managing all aspects of transition and operational readiness.
  • Provide operational support for ticketing tools, including administration, reporting, and training, and ensure compliance with DevOps and change control policies.
  • Manage release cycles for CRM and other application environments, ensuring effective scheduling, coordination, and deployment.
  • Design and implement data migration/ETL processes for transitioning data from legacy systems to Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Support the implementation of the project, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder requirements.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Diploma or Degree in a Business and/or Information Technology-related field.
  • Successfully implement 3 Microsoft Dynamics 365 Systems with customer engagement solutions OR Microsoft Dynamics 365 Certification OR 2 years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 customer engagement solutions.
  • 5 years of experience managing a Release Management lifecycle, including scheduling, coordinating, and deploying releases across different application environments.
  • 5 years of experience in ensuring adherence to software engineering best practices and enforcing DevOps policies in team-based environments.
  • 10 years experience developing and implementing test plans and test cases mapped to future-state requirements for large-scale IT Transformations.
  • 5 years of experience in developing reporting assets such as dynamic reports, dashboards, and pivot tables using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • 5 years of experience working with the public sector, including government agencies, public organizations, boards and commissions.
  • 10 years experience coordinating the decommissioning of business applications and systems, ensuring smooth transition and integration.
  • 10 years experience developing and implementing both business and technical transition plans for migrating business processes and information from one system to another.
  • 10 years experience in developing data migration/ETL processes for legacy data and other sources, ensuring proper integration and data integrity.
  • 5 years of experience in providing tailored solutions to social housing organizations, particularly in managing housing systems and improving tenant services.
  • 5 years experience working with operation support ticketing tools, including administering, reporting, implementing and training teams on their use.
  • 10 years experience in creating and maintaining data models that support business and operational needs, ensuring data integrity and alignment with organizational goals.
  • 10 years experience writing technical application support documentation, including user manuals, system documentation, and operational guides.
