WSP is currently seeking a Transportation Planner or Engineer to join its Mobility Planning and Advisory team and contribute to a broad variety of transportation planning and engineering projects across Canada. Scope of Work As a member of the Transportation Planning Group, you will provide planning and engineering services across the full spectrum of transportation challenges, including: Complete Streets and Active Transportation / Trails Infrastructure Planning Functional and Detailed Design Regional and Area Transportation Studies Site‑specific Transportation Assessments Design Guidelines and Innovative Design Solutions/Research Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Transportation Modelling Public Engagement Road Safety Improvements Transit Planning Parking Studies Transportation Master Plans and Traffic Analysis What You’ll Do Collaborate with colleagues on projects, from data collection and analysis to reporting and supporting the team on in‑field and in‑office technical tasks, including graphics preparation. Apply best practices and propose innovative solutions for multi‑modal transportation, transit and traffic projects. Work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, planners, designers and landscape architects. Prepare and oversee technical memos and reports to communicate results and recommendations. Attend client and public meetings. Develop experience in project management and coordination. What You’ll Bring Passion and/or professional interest in transportation and a desire to contribute to multi‑modal solutions. Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Transportation Engineering or Transportation Planning. P. Eng. or RPP designation. 3‑10 years’ experience in the transportation engineering and/or planning field. Strong technical writing and presentation skills; proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience in traffic operations and site analysis. Experience with transportation software and methods (e.g., Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, Sidra, VISSIM, VISTRO, Aimsun). Team‑oriented mindset and eagerness to grow professionally.
