Bilingual Events Coordinator (12-month Contract) Join to apply for the Bilingual Events Coordinator (12-month Contract) role at McCarthy Tétrault. Job Description McCarthy Tétrault is a Canadian law firm offering a full suite of legal and business solutions to clients in Canada and around the world. We are recruiting for a Bilingual Events Coordinator to join our Montreal office. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in event coordination and will assist the Event Specialist with various events, source event gifts, and provide other administrative support. This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office per week. Responsibilities Assist with the planning and execution of in‑person, hybrid, and virtual events under the guidance of the Client Relations Manager and Client Event Specialists. Source and book venues, entertainment, gifting, and other services. Prepare onsite event materials. Assist with on‑site event registration and delivery. Create and revise invitation lists based on targeting criteria. Update RSVPs and attendance in Salesforce. Prepare event reports on metrics and analyze data. Coordinate seasonal and ad‑hoc client gifting initiatives. Process invoices and reconcile credit card statements. Collaborate with other firm teams to ensure event and gifting needs are fully met. Keep the Client Relations Manager informed of project progress and any issues requiring escalation. Collaborate on additional projects as required. Qualifications Post‑secondary education in business, marketing, communications, or a diploma in event management is an asset. Minimum of 2 years of relevant business experience. Experience with virtual event platforms is an asset. Bilingualism (French and English) – an asset but not required. Proficiency with the MS Office suite and ability to quickly learn new technology solutions. Experience working with Salesforce and SharePoint is an asset. Professional maturity with strong interpersonal skills, tact, and discretion. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and set priorities with challenging deadlines. Ability to work in a demanding, fast‑paced environment and onsite.
