Join to apply for the Pharmacist - Oncology (GEN) role at Scarborough Health Network Job Description Reporting to the oncology pharmacy manager, this full‑time permanent Pharmacist dedicated to the oncology program will provide clinical care to patients undergoing cancer treatment. Responsibilities include pharmaceutical care monitoring for injectable anti‑cancer agents and oral take‑home cancer drugs, maintaining electronic patient records, conducting new drug and regimen reviews, and contributing to medication safety initiatives. The pharmacist will work in the specialty oncology drug store, provide patient counselling on chemotherapy regimens, review and verify cancer medication orders, and support projects as assigned. Coverage may extend to the Centenary outpatient oncology clinic pharmacy as required. Requirements Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.Sc. Phm.) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) Licensed and registered with the Ontario College of Pharmacists Previous experience in hospital pharmacy Retail pharmacy experience Oncology pharmacy experience, including oral take‑home cancer drugs, clinical monitoring and Cancer Care Ontario drug programs Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and efficiently assess situations Highly motivated, personable, knowledgeable with excellent communication skills Patient‑oriented and capable of handling sensitive issues with tact, diplomacy and confidentiality Team player fostering effective inter‑professional relationships Strong initiative, observant confidentiality, and commitment to internal/external customer service Alignment with SHN’s Code of Conduct and dedication to a healthy, positive work environment Proficient in protective equipment use, hazard identification and reporting Ethical conduct and appreciation for diversity in patients and staff Excellent work performance and attendance Proficiency in computer software, including MS Office Assets Hospital residency experience Experience with IV admixture sterile compounding of hazardous drugs Retail pharmacy experience with oncology settings Strong understanding of drug coverage in Ontario Experience using EPIC and its modules Ability to speak another language Accommodation And Diversity Statement Scarborough Health Network (SHN) embraces and celebrates our community’s multicultural heritage and diversity.
