Summer Student, Risk and Marketing Analyst PETRONAS Canada is one of the largest natural gas resource owners in Canada. We operate in the Montney play in northeast British Columbia and partner in LNG Canada. Our Summer Student Program offers a full‑time opportunity from May through August 2026 on the Financial Reporting team in Calgary. Students experience real‑world challenges, collaborate with diverse teams, network with peers, and gain exposure to the energy industry through sessions hosted by subject matter experts. How You Will Contribute Provide daily updates of commodity market pricing data Create daily risk reporting of marketing positions, exposures, and results Confirm natural gas and foreign exchange transactions Assist in developing and maintaining models for natural gas and LNG transactions Assist in set‑up of new businesses in the Marketing ETRM system Provide support with other ad‑hoc credit, risk management, and insurance projects as needed What You Bring Actively enrolled in an undergraduate degree or diploma program at a Canadian post‑secondary institution, returning to studies after the work term Eligible for a Bachelor of Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, or a similar program Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite with strong Excel skills Strong collaboration and relationship‑building abilities across teams and business groups Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong time‑management and data‑management skills, able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment Why You Should Join Our Team Flexible work arrangements, including a compressed work week with Friday afternoons off and hybrid options for office‑based roles A casual yet professional environment Meaningful, challenging, and rewarding work experience relevant to your field of study Mentorship from knowledgeable experts providing insight into career paths Opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization with large growth ambitions Competitive compensation Work for a company that makes a positive difference in communities through volunteerism, community support, and providing opportunities for local areas Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
