Duties and responsibilities: The Communications Coordinator is responsible for the development, coordination, and delivery of communications plans; supporting or leading communication-related initiatives; achieving revenue and expense targets; delivering engaging social media content; analyzing communications performance; coordinating storytelling efforts; and building strong, positive relationships between SaskAbilities and the community. Duties: Develop, coordinate, and implement communications strategies (organizational, event-specific, and social media). Source stories, develop relationships across programs, and gather visuals for multi-platform use. Conduct regular social media reviews, reporting and analyzing metrics to ensure alignment with corporate voice, standards, and KPIs. Lead provincial social media planning meetings, foster cross-regional collaboration, and support implementation. Maintain media relations and coordinate distribution of provincial and regional news releases. Manage advertising budgets and develop content for campaigns and events. Administer and optimize Google Ad Grants performance. Proofread and edit materials while ensuring alignment with SaskAbilities’ brand and communications standards. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field. 1–3 years’ experience in B2C social media marketing and content development. Proficiency with social media management tools. Skills & Experience: Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects concurrently. Skilled in networking, interviewing, and public speaking. Exceptionally organized with strong attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with video editing is considered an asset. Must have a valid driver’s licence and access to reliable vehicle as some in city and out-of-town travel are required.
