WHO WE ARE
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) was established in 1999 as an international independent agency to lead a collaborative worldwide movement for doping-free sport. As the global regulatory body, WADA’s primary role is to develop, harmonize and coordinate anti-doping rules and policies across all sports and countries. Our key activities include: scientific and social science research; education; intelligence & investigations; development of anti-doping capacity; and, monitoring of compliance with the World Anti-Doping Program.
POSITION OVERVIEW
WADA is seeking a driven and energetic legal counsel, passionate about clean sport, to join the WADA Legal Affairs Department. The legal counsel will have primary responsibility to support both the Legal Director, and Associate Director, Corporate, as appropriate in various legal matters as described hereunder. Support to both the Legal Director and Associate Director, Corporate, as required; Support the Legal Director in all insurances related matters; Provide legal advice to other WADA Departments, and guidance, as required; Provide reliable, accurate, timely and well-informed advice and guidance to all WADA departments regarding anti-doping regulatory legal issues; Draft and review legal documents and reports, as required; Participate in, and present at, internal meetings, where relevant, as well as be part of internal special projects. Identify, understand, and synthesize legal risks.
