Job Title: Director, Sales and Marketing Reports to: VP, Sales and Marketing Position Summary: The Director of Sales and Marketing will play a key role to deliver on our vision to be an integral partner to our customers by providing solutions for supply chain needs throughout North America. The individual will drive sales functions and operations while developing marketing programs to increase revenue and profits. The individual will nurture and develop relationships with existing customers while securing new long‑term partnerships. Responsibilities: Complete RFI documentation. Review, analyze, and respond to RFPs. Monitor capacity within the network to determine target facilities. Build relationships with 4PL (fourth party logistics) partners. Travel to facilities to engage and collaborate with operations to identify business opportunities. Conduct market research and analysis. Create marketing campaigns for new services, including budgeting and expenditure planning, and ensure they generate revenue. Responsible for producing brochures and other print materials, as well as electronic materials, to market services. This includes expanding and maintaining our presence on social media. Execute strategic marketing plan. Communicate requests for NDAs internally. Engage with prospects through LinkedIn, cold calls, and referrals, while responding to all incoming and forwarded customer inquiries across multiple communication channels, including email, mobile phone, and messaging platforms. Facilitate account set‑ups through the internal administrative team. Complete 30‑day follow‑up on new clients to compare expectations with execution. Manage multi‑year contract renewals with reminders one year in advance. Identify and capture ancillary charges. Provide input on price adjustments with the sales team. Work with the sales team member to understand and learn from the business pipeline tracking. Engage in the budget process. Transportation service focus for all existing and new clients. Liaison with the Transportation GM for opportunities. Support and lead the aggressive North American growth and expansion plan. Required Skills/Experience: 10+ years in a sales role, preferably within a refrigerated and frozen food industry. A good listener with the ability to instill confidence. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Customer‑first mindset with proven problem‑solving abilities. Solid financial acumen and business understanding with the ability to process abstract instructions to create marketing plans for services. Adaptable, self‑motivated, and results‑driven. Have a thirst for securing and closing deals. Forward‑looking and anticipate market swings and upcoming capacity trends. Charismatic, inspiring, and a collaborative team player with leadership qualities. Solid computer skills, including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, social media, and a willingness to learn internal systems. Possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable access to a vehicle for business‑related travel. Post‑secondary education in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Additional Certification and/or Designation is an asset.
