The Pohénégamook - Picard - Saint-Antonin - Wolastokuk (PPAW) site is located in Bas-Saint Laurent, Québec. We are offering a $3,300 CAD sign‑on bonus for the right candidate. Position Overview As a Wind Site Technician, you will ensure the smooth operation of wind turbines by performing maintenance, troubleshooting and resolving system issues. Your work is essential for providing reliable, clean energy to local communities. Key Responsibilities Maintain and repair wind turbines with your team to keep communities powered. Adhere to safety protocols and conduct safety inspections. Collaborate with your team to improve turbine performance and share best practices. Document work and continuously improve operational processes. Accurately time‑code all work activities to support clear tracking of task duration, progress and operational efficiency. Who You Are At least 6 months with a Wind Technician certificate, or 1 year of wind turbine experience, or 2 years in mechanical or electrical fields. Highly developed problem‑solving abilities and a proactive approach. Safety‑conscious and committed to best practices. Capable of working well with others and enjoying collaborative environments. Physically fit, comfortable working in various conditions, and at heights. Proficient in speaking, reading and following instructions in English. High school diploma (Graduation Certificate or equivalent), a valid driver’s licence and legal authorization to work in Canada. Training & Equipment Vestas provides comprehensive training programs and certifications, including GWO Safety & Technical Training. Pay will be determined based on experience and qualifications. Physical Demands Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods. Hearing ability to use telephones, radios and related devices. Visual acuity including depth perception and colour distinction. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl as needed; good hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to climb stairs and vertical ladders to heights of 60‑100 m and supervise work in confined spaces. Ability to lift, push, pull or carry items up to 50 lb. Ability to observe training and obtain required safety certifications (LOTO, electrical qualification, fall arrest, high‑angle rescue, emergency descent, confined spaces). Ability to participate in all training courses, including controlled descent practical exercises. Combined weight of employee, required PPE and gear must not exceed 300 lb.
