Site Location: The Pohénégamook - Picard - Saint-Antonin - Wolastokuk (PPAW) site is located in Bas-Saint Laurent, Québec. Sign On Bonus: $3,300 CAD. Position Overview As a Wind Site Technician, you’ll ensure the smooth operation of wind turbines, directly addressing maintenance, troubleshooting, and system issues. Your contributions are vital in maintaining clean, reliable energy for local communities, regardless of your background in wind, electrical, mechanical, or heavy machinery sectors. Key Responsibilities Support your team with basic mechanical installations, repairs, and upgrades to help keep communities powered. Follow safety protocols and learn how to conduct safety inspections. Collaborate with your team to improve turbine performance and share best practices. Document your work and continuously improve operational processes. Accurately time code all work activities to support clear tracking of task duration, progress, and operational efficiency. Who You Are Curious, motivated, and ready to grow in the wind energy field. Comfortable using tools and following detailed procedures. Safety‑conscious and committed to best practices. Able to work well with others and enjoy collaborative environments. Physically fit, comfortable working in various conditions, and at heights. Bilingual (French and English) candidates. Ability to speak, read, and follow written instructions in English is necessary. You have a high school diploma (Graduation Certificate or equivalent), a valid driver’s license, and are legally authorized to work in Canada without the need for current or future sponsorship. Pay will be determined based on experience and qualifications. We also offer a $3,300 CAD Sign On Bonus. Physical Demands Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods. Hearing ability to use telephones, close‑range radios or related devices. Visual acuity including depth perception, field of vision, and color discrimination. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed, and hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity. Capability to climb stairs & vertical ladders to heights of 60–100 m and supervise work in confined spaces. Capacity to lift, push, pull, or carry items up to 50 lbs. Ability to observe training and obtain required safety certifications (LOTO, electrical qualification, fall arrest & rescue, etc.). Capability to participate in all training courses, including controlled descent exercises. Combined weight of employee, PPE, and gear not to exceed 300 lbs (PPE up to 40 lbs).
