Your work environment at EXP

In this role, you will be working out of our Sudbury office. What a day at EXP has in store for you:

  1. Responsibility for the successful delivery of land development and municipal infrastructure projects to Clients, through the planning, design, construction, and maintenance periods of residential, industrial, and/or commercial developments.
  2. Foster long-term relationships with Clients and ensure Client satisfaction throughout the project life cycle.
  3. Project scope, budget, and schedule control for development projects.
  4. Mentor and develop junior staff in the office.
  5. Obtain all necessary approvals and permits for projects, including those from municipalities, provincial (Ontario) and federal government agencies.
  6. Ensure quality control and design standards and compliance is maintained from inception to completion.
  7. Coordination with multiple stakeholders (clients, contractors, approving agencies, planners, other consultants, residents) as necessary to meet project objectives.
  8. Proven experience in facilitating and promoting a climate of internal collaboration of work share between different internal disciplines.
  9. Meeting internal business metrics and targets, as well as ongoing business development activities with existing and new clients.

What your experience looks like

  1. Minimum 5 years relevant and demonstrated industry experience.
  2. Candidate must be a registered Professional Engineer (in Ontario).
  3. Possess a proven track record of developing relationships, writing, and reviewing competitive proposals.
  4. Experience working with clients in both the public and private sectors.
  5. Leadership experience and people management skills, including the ability to develop staff and manage teams in a changing environment is an asset.
  6. Strategic, analytical, and practical thinker.
  7. Ability to analyze challenges/issues and determine priorities in an environment of tight and conflicting deadlines.
  8. Solid client development and management skills.
  9. Knowledge of Civil 3D.
  10. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  11. Knowledge of Microsoft Office including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
