Civil Engineer Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Technician to join our Engineering team at Englobe. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for applying and promoting our health and safety rules, assisting project managers and engineers, and coordinating pre-construction condition surveys.
Key Responsibilities- Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules and procedures.
- Assist project managers, engineers, and technicians in fulfilling multi-disciplinary civil, construction risk, and structural health monitoring projects.
- Coordinate and perform pre-construction condition surveys, vibration and noise monitoring of buildings and structures.
- Carry out field geotechnical materials testing and sampling at work sites.
- Consistently execute prescribed company technical procedures, safe work practices, and work plans.
- Assist with the installation, commissioning, and monitoring of geotechnical and structural health instrumentation sensors and data collection networks.
- Record test data and prepare factual reports, summaries, data sheets, or graphs for interpretation of test results.
- Help maintain databases of records for pre-condition survey files, calibration certificates, equipment manuals, and applicable standards.
- Participate in project management, site, and staff planning meetings.
- Handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy to maintain positive working relationships with all internal and external contacts.
- College Diploma in the Civil Engineering Field (Technician or Technology Level).
- Understanding of civil engineering and construction.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to the team's goals.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Strong technical writing skills, ability to present information concisely and clearly in reports.
- Proficient with use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to handle multi-tasking and maintain focus in a busy workplace.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
- Must be available on occasion to work evenings, nights, and weekends to meet project needs.
- Ability to problem-solve and tackle new assignments effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to work out of town, if required.
- Rotation work at remote mining sites is a possibility.
