VP, Credit Analyst – Rabobank We’re seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to join Rabobank’s global corporate banking team based in Toronto, Canada. The role blends client-facing sales, deal structuring, underwriting, and risk management, supporting our clients with credit solutions and managing associated risks. "The Credit Analyst role is required to wear several hats at Rabobank. This includes meeting with clients, analyzing client requests and financial information while assessing and understanding key risk, preparing credit submissions for adjudication, and liaising with Senior Risk Officers to guide deals from origination all the way through to fulfillment. The role has been a perfect mix of sales and deal structuring responsibilities, and has given me an ability to remain on the front-line in a client facing role, while also fostering and improving my credit and risk management skills" – Senior Credit Analyst You and Your Job As VP, Credit Analyst you will be responsible for all aspects of the credit product including underwriting, structuring, analysis, documentation, negotiation, industry research, financial modeling and ongoing maintenance of new and existing customers. Job Responsibilities Market and business analysis, financial model building, and sensitivity analysis for credit reports. Underwriting, approving and closing corporate lending transactions, analyzing risk and structuring transactions. Produce independent, objective, high‑quality credit risk assessments and high‑quality credit reports. Work collaboratively with other departments, planning and organizing work, setting priorities, and anticipating business needs. Monitor assigned portfolio of clients, maintain deep client knowledge to identify early risk signals. Support business origination efforts with new and existing clients as part of the client coverage team. Your Promise to Us To be considered for the Credit Analyst role, you must have: Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred). 7+ years of relevant experience. Formal credit training at a major bank desired. Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to assess financial statements and credit risk. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Teamwork and adaptability in fast‑paced, client‑facing environments. Attention to detail and strong work ethic. Financial licenses a plus. Ability to travel regionally and globally, up to 15%.
