As they continue to grow through new ventures and acquisitions, this newly created Financial Analyst role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact by helping build and refine financial processes from the ground up.If you’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and enjoys bringing structure and insight to growing businesses, this is an exciting opportunity to join a team where your contributions will be both visible and valued.Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in managing full-cycle accounting and financial analysis for the company’s expanding distillery and entertainment division. Your responsibilities will include:Financial Operations:Manage full-cycle accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank/POS reconciliations.Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate month-end entries and supporting documentation.Financial Analysis & Reporting:Conduct detailed budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.Deliver insightful financial reports that help leadership understand performance, margins, and opportunities for improvement.Inventory & Process Management:Oversee and enhance inventory management processes to ensure accuracy and control.Identify and implement process improvements that streamline accounting and operational workflows.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Partner closely with operations and management to understand business drivers and provide actionable financial insights.Support annual audit preparation and compliance with CRA and tax reporting requirements.QualificationsTo succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following:Education & Experience:Post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.5+ years of accounting or financial analysis experience; experience in food & beverage, hospitality, or entertainment industries is highly preferred.CPA designation in progress or near completion is an asset.Technical Skills:Proficiency with QuickBooks; experience with Lightspeed or other POS/inventory systems is an asset.Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability.Experience in inventory and cost accounting processes.Key Competencies:Strong communication and collaboration skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.A self-starter who thrives in a growing, entrepreneurial environment and enjoys improving systems and processes.Apply TodayClick Apply to submit your resume and take the next step in your career Join a company where your expertise will directly shape the financial foundation of an exciting and expanding business.
