What you'll do:
Reporting to the Financial Systems Manager, the Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for ensuring the integrity and successful operation of our integrated Workday Financials and Planning systems. As an individual contributor, this position will have specific responsibility to support the Finance, Procurement and Project system areas and a shared responsibility with the HR team to oversee the Workday tenant. In addition to overseeing the ongoing maintenance activities of Workday, the Financial Systems Analyst will be a driver of transformation and business improvement, participating in change initiatives to ensure successful implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee ongoing maintenance activities in Workday Financials to maintain foundational data, configuration and business processes to support normal finance, accounting and procurement activities including internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR).
- Develop and test new Workday upgrades as it relates to Finance, Procurement and Projects.
- Liaise with stakeholders to drive system enhancements, upgrades and modifications across multiple process areas and segments. Drive business process improvements leveraging Workday technology and automation.
- Support enhancements of Workday as it relates to finance, accounting or procurement.
- Participate in meetings/communications with a Workday Steering Committee, representing the interests of Procurement, Finance and Projects and help to influence Workday product development.
- Participate and support report writing and other infrastructure support activities to assist internal and external stakeholders in understanding relevant financial and managerial data.

Position Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, Management Information Systems or Computer Science with 3-4 years of working with complex financial systems. Due to growth within the organization and differing levels of opportunities, we will consider varying levels of experience and education. Salary will be commensurate with years of experience and relevant education.
- Experience with Workday and/or Adaptive Planning would be an advantage.
- An accounting designation is an asset.
- Strong ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task responsibilities while working under pressure and within tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a questioning mind and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to positively confront issues and resolve conflict with sound judgment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively across different teams and levels of the organization.
