Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm. Potential to work from home one day per week. Salary: $60,000-75,000 per year, plus bonus based on performance Duties and Responsibilities Sourcing and purchasing food products, Including packaging Negotiating contracts and product costs Analyzing market trends Managing inventory levels Collaborating with other departments (Warehousing, Fleet, Production, and Sales.) Managing vendor relationships and performance Optimizing purchasing processes Forecasting demand Managing documentation Ensuring compliance with company policies Leading initiatives for specific category assignment Driving cost saving initiatives Other duties as required Required Skills and Qualifications Previous experience in purchasing/buying is an asset. Produce industry experience is an asset. Proficient computer skills. Effective communication in an open and direct manner; conveys information clearly and concisely, with strong written and verbal communication skills. Self-starter who thrives on working in a fast paced environment. Strong attention to details. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Accountable and dependable.
