Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer of LGE in Canada (LGECI), the Director, Business Solutions, will participate as a member of the Company’s executive team.

Identify growth opportunities and new markets for the B2B business.Provide inspirational leadership for the B2B sales team with the goal of meeting and exceeding business objectives.Develop positive internal relationships and collaboration with all key stakeholders, including B2B’s Business Unit, Headquarters, and the Product Managers who have direct responsibility for product development, inventory management and sourcing of B2B products from LGE’s overseas factories.

The successful candidate will have in-depth relevant work experience in direct and channel B2B sales, will be performance-oriented, have a solid track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with sales channels and other sales partners, have outstanding leadership and communication skills, have a proven ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders and effectively manage in a matrixed and complex corporate environment, have a strategic mindset and is resilient and adaptable to working with various corporate cultures. p>

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

The Director, Business Solutions will have overall responsibility for channel management, new business development, and new product launches, and be responsible for revenue, profitability & market share objectives, as well as compensation & quota for the B2B business. p>

  • Vision and sales leadership : The Director, Business Solutions will be responsible for providing vision and leadership to the LGECI B2B team in the motivation and sales execution of the Product Plan. li>
  • Sell-through : Manage the “sales-in” and the “sell-through” of various distribution channels and ensure the effective execution of sales, marketing, and service across all channels is completed in a timely manner and consistent with LG’s contractual obligations.
  • Management of new product introductions : Competitive analysis and reporting with strategic mindsets.
  • Manage Sell-Out Management Process in the Retail Channel – guide sales planning process(es) from retailer(s) sell-out plans all the way back to demand creation.
  • Lead the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and the revenue projections at an account & SKU level, by week, month, quarter, annual time frames.
  • Represent LGECI in the marketplace : As a key Canadian executive, this position will represent LGECI and must have the ability to build strong relationships and influence partners and stakeholders that are critical to LGECI’s success, including: representative executive for corporate key accounts/partners, channel marketing partners, lateral business units within local sales subsidiary.
  • Collaboration : Works with LG global counterparts to transfer international best practices to Canada. li>

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in sales and marketing organizations within the B2B space or related businesses.
  • Demonstrated strong success with direct sales and channel management/development, brand and proposition selling; li>
  • Experience working with a global enterprise with Headquarters directing local subsidiary with product line up and go-to-market expectations is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a key leadership role leading and growing a national or international company. Ideally will have prior experience in a significant corporate role.
  • Key account and corporate account experience is required.
  • Has led significant new product launches and/or developed significant large corporate accounts.
  • Has demonstrated the ability to build and expand a sales business through channel.
  • Experience in planning within an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), closed loop environment is key: SAP, Oracle/JD Edwards, etc.
  • Experience in high level contract negotiation for both channel and enterprise accounts
  • Professional selling and corporate marketing skills highly desirable along with business experience/education.
