We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to join our Business Integration team. This is a full-time permanent position offering a salary of $154,589.50.

About the Role

The Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Manager will be responsible for formulating financial administration and accounting policies, procedures, and systems. You will direct the preparation of financial statements and various reports to Management and the Board of Directors and its committees. Your role will ensure compliance with applicable legislation related to financial matters.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will develop materials and present them to the Audit Committee as required.
  • Establish and maintain middle office and back-office processes and controls to ensure the effective operation of our finance function.
  • You will develop, promote, and monitor compliance with corporate policies, standards, regulations, and procedures governing financial operations.
  • Direct the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and submit them to the CFO & Head, Business Integration for presentation to the Audit Committee.
  • Work with the Director, Corporate Strategy to prepare financial forecasts and administer and coordinate annual operating plans.
  • Coordinate the annual operational budget submissions and approval process, ensuring regular variance reports are available to managers.
  • Promote prudence and probity in managing corporate expenditures, asset control, and liabilities and provide accounting to the CFO & Head, Business Integration on resource utilization.
  • Conduct cash flow forecasting, manage transaction risk, and prepare performance evaluation to identify, measure, monitor, and report financial risk exposures.
  • Review our tax position and make recommendations on corporate income tax & HST matters to support decision-making processes.
  • Direct the collection of information from departments within CDIC pertaining to objective achievement and prepare comprehensive Performance Assessment Reports.
  • Contribute to the development and revision of corporate accounting policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and accurate financial results.
  • Monitor emerging accounting issues and analyze potential impact to our organization.

    Requirements

    • You must have a University Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline or an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or relevant work experience.
    • A CPA designation is required.
    • You should have strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards.
    • 7+ years of experience managing a team of professionals in various disciplines.
    • Proven ability to break down complex issues into relatable content for broader consumption.
