Animal Health Technician - Veterinary department As a Veterinary Technician for our team in Sherbrooke, you will be responsible for the well‑being of our laboratory animals, ensuring their health and the integrity of our pre‑clinical studies. Primary Responsibilities Evaluate and monitor the health status of animals under veterinary supervision. Collaborate with veterinarians to prepare and perform treatment plans. Perform medical treatments, interventions, and diagnostic tests under veterinary supervision. Identify potential animal welfare issues and develop solutions. Key Qualifications Holding a College Diploma in Animal Health (mandatory). Work experience in a similar position is an asset. Physical ability to lift up to 20 kg, walk, stand, stoop, etc. Good observation, organization, and time‑management skills. Ability to adapt quickly to last‑minute changes. Understanding of written English is mandatory; bilingual French and English preferred. Note: Upon hiring, you will undergo an annual tuberculosis test at the company’s expense. Role Specific Information Location: 1580 Rue Ida‑Métivier, Sherbrooke, QC, J1E 0B5. Easily accessible using public transit. Free parking and electric‑vehicle charging station. Pay: Starting at $23.00/hour. Opportunity for higher level and salary with specific research experience. Premiums (overtime, weekends, evenings, etc.) applicable. Schedule: Full‑time, permanent (37.5 hrs/week). Overtime, weekend work (rotation) and bonus ($2.75/hour) may be required. Benefits 3 weeks’ vacation & personal days.
