Responsibilities Manage an insurance book of business, ensuring clients have coverage in place; quote, bind, and cross‑sell opportunities. Develop and implement marketing strategies to grow the commercial insurance book, generating new business and meeting revenue targets. Conduct regular review meetings to service existing clients and identify new prospecting opportunities. Maintain high‑technical, service‑oriented client relationships. Collaborate with insurers to develop new products and secure favorable pricing and claim handling. Attend client, insurer, and industry events to build networks and identify new business streams. Refer specialized business opportunities to other Axis Account Executives. Prepare annual business plans with sales goals, strategies, obstacles, and growth areas. Process payments and manage accounts receivable. Maintain files, ensure accuracy, and keep records orderly. Develop proposals, quotes, and reports within the broker management system. Ensuring an exceptional customer experience. Must Haves Minimum 6 years of commercial insurance experience. General Insurance Agent Level 2 license through the Insurance Council of Alberta, Ontario, or equivalent. Insurance designations such as CAIB, CIP, CRM are assets. Post‑secondary degree is an asset. Experience with EPIC broker management system is an asset. Preferred Experience EPIC broker management system exposure. Specialty line experience (D&O, cyber, etc.) and rate sheet knowledge.
