Fraser Health is adopting virtual methods to improve patient care
The Virtual Psychiatry Unit introduces an innovative model for delivering acute Mental Health and Substance Use services to clients across the Fraser Health Region. This groundbreaking program allows you to work within a collaborative, inter-professional team. Care is provided directly to acute patients in their homes and through virtual platforms.
As a licensed or eligible Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to adult patients served by Fraser Health as part of a multidisciplinary team. Your duties will include consulting at the new Virtual Psychiatry Unit and actively participating in patient outreach to their residences.
Services provided include assessment, outpatient treatment, consultation, family meetings, case conferences, discharge planning, and training psychiatry residents and medical students.
Additionally, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of care by fostering positive relationships with all care providers and advocating for the psychiatric needs of individual patients.
