You will also collaborate closely with managers responsible for executing discrete pieces of work across multiple cross-functional and multidisciplinary engineering, product, and science teams to ensure the successful delivery of work that drives value for our users/customers.


You Will:
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a robust project management framework encompassing methodologies, processes, and standards that optimize efficiency, transparency, and alignment with our strategic goals.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of high-performing Program Managers, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to maximize their individual and collective impact.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Platform PMO leadership, engineering, product, science, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and effective communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Operational Excellence: Implement and continuously improve project management practices, leveraging data-driven insights and industry best practices to drive value delivery for our end-users.
  • Knowledge Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive project management knowledge base, including templates, tools, and best practices, to empower teams and ensure consistency across all projects.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks and issues that could impact project delivery, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Establish and maintain a robust system for tracking key project metrics, providing actionable insights and data-driven reporting to inform decision-making at all levels.
  • Culture Building: Foster a collaborative and transparent environment that encourages open communication, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across all project teams.
You Have:
  • 7+ years of experience leading a team of program/project managers in a highly technical, matrixed environment.
  • Proven track record of change management focused on building strong interdepartmental relationships and influencing people engagement and expectations management.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing project management methodologies within a complex matrixed agile organization.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders at various levels across multiple functions, including C-suite executives.
  • Ability to make and recommend data-driven decisions and leverage project management, workflow, and analytics tools (e.g., Aha, Monday, Looker Studio, Jira) to create a data-driven culture.
  • Experience managing complex software-based projects with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams, managing dependencies across many concurrent projects.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, results-driven startup environment.
Nice to Have:
  • A degree with an educational background or work experience in a life sciences-related discipline (particularly pharmaceutical R+D) or a technical field such as engineering or computer science.
  • Experience working with AI/ML teams, and in particular recent experience with Generative AI.
