Canadian Nutrition Specialist (0.5 FTE) and Global Nutrition Specialist (0.5 FTE) Reports to: Business Support Manager, Topigs Norsvin Canada; Manager of Global Nutrition and Female Reproduction Services. Location: Manitoba based with travel across Canada and to the Netherlands. Start date: November 2025. Position Summary The Canadian Nutrition Specialist is a 0.5 FTE role responsible for nutrition support across Canada, working with various teams to ensure Topigs Norsvin nutritional advice is transferred to these teams and ultimately the customer. It is a position shared (0.5 FTE) with Global Technical Services (GTS), and a member of Global Nutrition and Female Reproduction Service (GNFRS) team. Canadian Nutrition Specialist, Topigs Norsvin Canada Duties and responsibilities Support the Topigs Norsvin Key Account Management team and the Sale team in nutritional and management support for customers. Provide in barn nutritional and production support at nucleus, multiplication and commercial levels. Act as a liaison between Topigs Norsvin Canada and Global Technical Services, ensuring information is correct and up to date, e.g. feeding and management manuals. Prepare and present materials on relevant topics to improve swine management practices and production results. Keep up to date with new technologies in the global swine industry. Work with the Genetics Nucleus (GN) team and feed supplier’s nutritionists to ensure diets being used at the GN farms meet the specifications in the feed manuals and on farm performance is realized. Follow and enforce all health and safety, biosecurity, animal health and welfare protocols. Qualifications Master’s Degree (MSc) in Animal Science and or Nutrition or relevant science. Over 5 years of experience in a nutrition role within a nutrition company, or a swine genetics company or large swine production company. Strong commitment to providing top-notch customer service. Good understanding of the agriculture business as well as the culture of rural communities. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Working conditions Frequent travel across Canada and occasional travel to Europe (Netherlands) will be required. Working with customers and partners and their businesses, dealing sometimes with internal politics. May require evening/weekend work and travel. Physical: some hands-on physical barn work. Mental: strong ability to balance multiple priorities. Global Nutrition Specialist, Topigs Norsvin Reports hierarchically & functionally to the manager of Global Nutrition and Female Reproduction Services in the role of Global Nutrition Specialist. Responsible for the feeding and nutrition advice provided to worldwide Topigs Norsvin clients and partners. As a member of the Global Nutrition and Female Reproduction Service team, you are responsible for being the bridge between the local and the central team in terms of knowledge exchange, development of manuals and tools, statistical data analysis, and gathering user experiences of Topigs Norsvin products. Invest time to build and maintain a strong network with the feed industry, universities, and knowledge centers inside global markets. Be an active member of the Global Nutrition and Female Reproduction team, understanding and translating the needs and wishes of our local subsidiaries and global key customers. Have a proactive role in development projects and data analysis for manuals and tools locally and globally. Manage and coordinate knowledge dissemination towards local (feed) specialists and technical services teams. Represent the Global Nutrition and Female Reproduction Service team at feed and nutrition events globally. Fulfill the desired service visits to local subsidiaries, and global and local key accounts as agreed in the global service plan. Profile and skills: Master's (MSc) in Animal Science and/or Nutrition or related study with 5-10 years’ work experience. Highly interested in the relation between genetics, reproduction, and the impact of nutrition to unlock the genetic potential of Topigs Norsvin Genetics. Has thorough knowledge of swine nutrition and feed management. Excellent skills in statistics (familiarity with R Studio is a plus) and the ability to analyze data to support global and local research projects. The ability to work in an international setting with a quick and realistic understanding of issues. Good intercultural skills. Excellent oral and written fluency in English. Important competencies as a member of the Global Nutrition and Female Reproduction Service team are: customer orientation, listening, oral communication, independence, initiative and result orientation, creativity, and team player. Other Details Traveling to the headquarters in Den Bosch, the Netherlands, at least two times per year to align with the global teams (Marketing, R&D, GTS).
