Position – UI Technical Artist

Location - Quebec, Ontario

We are looking for an experienced UI Technical Artist to join the Haven Entertainment Studios project team. The UI Technical Artist will participate in the development of our UI toolkit alongside our programming team. They will be responsible for translating UI direction into effective widgets using their technical expertise in composition and animation. The UI Technical Artist will have a strong understanding of both technical and artistic aspects of UI design. p>

Reporting

The UI Technical Artist will report to the Producer.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work with the engineering team to put in place the project’s UI toolkit.
  • Leverage telemetry data to continuously improve UI quality and performance.

Experience and Skills Required

  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Shipped at least one AAA console game
  • Understand graphical parameters related to UI, such as resolution, scale, and aspect ratio.
  • Scripting knowledge
  • Good communication with both technical and non-technical team members
  • Self-motivated with a strong collaborative and teamwork oriented mindset.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Good understanding of UX

Preferred Qualifications

  • Shipped UI content in a 60fps game.
