We are looking for: The Finance & Operations Analyst will be a key player in maintaining the firm’s robust finance and operations environment as we grow. This role includes end-to-end coordination of financial, tax and regulatory reporting, providing data-driven budgeting and projections at firm and project level to inform executive decision-making, as well as supporting critical business functions across audit, treasury and payments. This position will also support broader company operations including contract and document management, upkeep of policies and procedures, and the continuous improvement of internal processes. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain broad experience in the financial operations of an international impact investment firm, with the potential to take on governance and compliance responsibilities with training. The position reports to Alexa Blain, Managing Partner, and supervises a bookkeeper. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial management and reporting for multiple entities, ensuring timely audits and reconciliations. Tax & Regulatory Prepare and file tax returns and regulatory reports, maintaining compliance with Canadian and international requirements. Payables, Treasury & Budget Support Manage payments, reimbursements, and cash reconciliations, lead budget preparation and financial projections. Fund Invoicing & Payments Coordinate fund invoices, investor-related payments, and banking processes in collaboration with portfolio management teams. Operations Support Support contract and document management, service provider coordination, and continuous process improvements. Qualifications & Requirements Academic background Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a relevant discipline. Experience Professional: 3–5+ years. Investment sector: 2–3+ years (preferred). Languages Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken. Spanish proficiency is preferred but not required. Proficient in financial reporting, accounting software (QuickBooks), and data visualization. Aptitude for information and database management (e.g., expense management and tracking). Advanced Excel/Sheets. Fund administration and accounting experience preferred. Payroll and benefits experience preferred. Compensation Total compensation will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications.
