OverviewThe Registration Clerk is responsible for the accurate and efficient scheduling and registration of all patients in the hospital ADT and Scheduling System.EducationGrade 12 or equivalent.Completion of Medical Office Administration or Patient Registration courses preferred.Qualifications2 years recent relevant registration, admitting and appointment scheduling experience required.Previous clerical experience in a hospital/medical environment preferred.Knowledge of hospital Admission, Discharge and Transfer (ADT) Systems preferred.Knowledge of patient scheduling systems preferred.Strong customer service skills and experience required.Demonstrated ability to multi-task and problem-solve.Demonstrated ability to accurately type a minimum of 35-45 wpm.Knowledge of medical terminology an asset.Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic work environment.Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office; Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook email.Call-Center or similar telephone customer service experience preferred.Evidence of ongoing education such as post-secondary courses, seminars, workshops, etc.Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Demonstrated ability for attention to detail while providing high standards of accuracy and efficiency.Experience collecting and processing payments are preferred.Demonstrated ability to manage stressful situations with empathy.Good work and attendance record required.All employees of Michael Garron Hospital (MGH), a division of Toronto East Health Network (TEHN) agree to work within the legislated practices of the Occupational Health and Safety Act of Ontario.All employees of MGH are responsible to contribute to a transparent culture of patient and staff safety by adhering to and abiding by patient and staff safety policies and procedures set by MGH.All employees are accountable for protecting the psychological health and safety of themselves and their co-workers through adherence to MGH's policies and practices.Senior for ReferenceEntry levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionAdministrativeIndustriesHospitals and Health Care #J-18808-Ljbffr
