Controller, Lansdowne Equity Ventures Ltd.Job Title: Senior Property AccountantReports To: ControllerAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Property Accountant to join our Accounting team. Reporting to the Controller, this position is responsible for managing the full cycle of accounting and financial administration for a portfolio of commercial properties. The successful candidate will oversee lease and rent administration, accounts receivable, and financial reporting, while providing actionable insights to support property performance and profitability.Key ResponsibilitiesManage full-cycle accounting for multiple commercial properties, including rent invoicing, lease renewals, and tenant reconciliationsPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in compliance with accounting standardsConduct CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations and ensure accuracy in accordance with lease agreementsCollaborate with property managers and the leasing team to monitor budgets, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actionsReview accounts payable invoices and ensure proper coding and internal control complianceSupport budgeting and forecasting processes, including preparation of revenue and expense projectionsrack capital expenditures and maintain accurate records for reporting and audit purposesUtilize Yardi property management software and Microsoft Excel for financial reporting, analysis, and data managementMentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff and collaborate closely with the ControllerQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (required)CPA designation or working toward CPA (asset)5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in property management or real estateProficiency with Yardi software and Microsoft Excel (advanced level)Strong understanding of CAM reconciliations, budgeting, and financial reportingExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skillsDemonstrated ability to interpret lease terms and apply them to accounting practicesWhy Join UsAt Lansdowne, we believe that strong leadership is fundamental to our success.
