Director, Total Rewards and HR Technology

Director, Total Rewards and HR Technology Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Talent and Culture, the Director of Total Rewards and HR Technology will lead the development and implementation of a forward‑thinking strategy in both total rewards and HR technology. This leader will oversee two dynamic teams, serve as a key advisor to the SVP, and provide high‑impact insights and tools for executive leadership and the Board of Directors. Primary Responsibilities Total Rewards Design and implement total rewards strategies that include compensation, benefits, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives aligned with CIMA+’s vision and goals Lead the annual compensation cycle, including salary reviews, budgeting, promotions, retirements, and equity distribution Oversee strategic compensation projects and prepare key documents for executive and board‑level discussions Develop executive and associate compensation structures, including equity and ownership components Ensure consistency of total rewards policies and programs across the organization Keep up to date with market trends and regulatory developments to guide senior leadership with informed, data‑driven recommendations Build and maintain strong relationships with external benefits providers to ensure service excellence HR Technology & Analytics Manage and optimize the HR technology ecosystem in close collaboration with IT and Finance Support the HR analytics team in identifying and solving business challenges using data Develop and lead an HR analytics strategy focused on key metrics such as engagement, turnover, retention, and performance Drive the evolution of digital and AI‑powered HR solutions Champion a digital‑first culture that fosters employee empowerment and connectivity Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or a related field CRHA/CRIA designation – a strong asset 15+ years of experience in compensation, benefits, HR systems, or total rewards leadership Demonstrated experience presenting to executive committees and boards of directors Strong track record supporting organizational transformation and change initiatives Recognized for inclusive leadership and talent development Ability to effectively influence at all levels of the organization, while demonstrating managerial courage in decision‑making and change management Advanced analytical skills, enabling effective decision‑making and strategic insight Skilled at translating complex data into clear, actionable insights Strong oral and written communication skills in both French and English; fluency in both languages is essential Employee Benefits Comprehensive Group Benefits available from day one for all permanent employees working at least 20 hours per week Flexible Health and Dental Care benefits to meet your family’s needs Employee and Family Assistance Program Access to physical, financial, mental, social and environmental well‑being services Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) with 4% employer contribution Annual opportunity to purchase shares as an employee‑owned company 37.5 hour work week with an opportunity to have any overtime banked or paid out (for hourly employees) Flexible work schedule in a hybrid work mode Work/Life balance policy across Canada Up to five (5) weeks of vacation based on years of relevant experience Eleven (11) statutory holidays plus a personal paid day off Employee referral bonus program Group discounts on home and auto insurance, fitness memberships, technology, mortgages, and more Mentoring programs at local and national level Tailored training to improve your existing skills Additional Information Ethics and integrity are fundamental values at CIMA+.
