Project Coordinator-Hazardous Materials

OverviewPinchin is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our Hazardous Materials / Indoor Environmental Quality team in the St. Catharines, ON office.ResponsibilitiesProvide reliable, timely, and professional support to Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, Team Leaders, and Operations Managers, assisting with day-to-day coordination of project-related activities.Conduct hazardous building material assessments of buildings for regulatory compliance, renovation and/or demolition purposes.Conduct indoor air quality/mould assessments.Conduct field reviews and air monitoring during hazardous materials abatement projects to verify contractor compliance with regulations and scope.Coordinate field work (assessments, field reviews, etc.) with client-designated points of contact.Prepare reports and technical documents related to projects.Maintain, coordinate and monitor the hazardous materials group activities.Assist with staff resourcing, planning, and project tasks (schedules, document and data management, tracking, deadlines, etc.).Prepare proposals for review by the Project Manager and assist with accounts receivables and invoicing as needed.Communicate with clients and employees; create and distribute project-related correspondence.What You Bring To The Pinchin TeamPost-secondary education in Architecture, Engineering, Environmental Science, Health & Safety, Construction, Project Management or similar.Three to four years of experience in the consulting industry or related field.Experience conducting complex hazardous building materials assessments and indoor environmental quality investigations of various building types (schools, hospitals, commercial, residential, industrial) is an asset.Knowledge of building construction and/or demolition methods is an asset.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, time management, and attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to adapt to changing needs, prioritize deliverables, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Ability to read, comprehend, and proof written reports and correspondence.Experience mentoring junior staff.Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle; ability to travel throughout Southwest Ontario.Ability to work outside core business hours based on client needs.What Pinchin Offers YouA challenging, rewarding leadership position with the opportunity to mentor junior technical professionals.Competitive compensation, benefits, and extended group benefits with no waiting period.Membership in our internal Communities of Practice, a national support network for technical problem solving and collaboration.Casual dress code.Profit share bonuses and an RRSP Matching Program.Flexible workplace to support work-life balance.Professional development and employee recognition programs; reimbursement for educational and professional membership dues.Employee Referral Bonus Program; Corporate Discount Program.What’s In It For YouWe offer competitive salaries and great benefits, but what makes Pinchin stand out is our commitment to employees and the world around us.
