As a valued member of our clinical team you will provide clinical supervision and organize programs impacting care delivery including Orientation, In-service Education, Infection Control, and Continuous Quality Improvement. What You’ll Be Doing Work closely with the DOC to ensure the Nursing Department operates in accordance with MOHLTC, CNO, and Extendicare standards and policies. Act as the lead in the coordination and implementation, including evaluation. Co‑lead nursing education and deliver staff individual/group training related to special functions and routine practices. Act as a resource to the interdisciplinary team in interactions with residents and families. Support resolution processes identified through policies and procedures. Provide constructive feedback to the Director of Care regarding staff performance and suggest training needs. Provide input and recommendation to the Director of Care regarding equipment, supplies, etc. Participate in medication management activities such as Medication Pass Audit, Monthly Narcotic Sheets audit, Medication Drug Destruction, Quarterly Reviews. Complete RAI‑MDS (RAP, Coding, Care Plan, etc.) as assigned. Review care plans to ensure accurate, up‑to‑date information. Complete AIS, Surge Learning, and other mandatory education. What You Bring Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent post‑diploma education (preferred). Minimum 3 years’ experience in clinical nursing in seniors’ care (geriatric, long‑term care, rehabilitation, or chronic complex care). Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and good standing with applicable regulatory body. Completion of Basic Life Support certification. Demonstrated supervisory and management skills, preferably in a unionised environment supporting activities of daily living for residents. Previous client needs assessment experience and use of the inter‑RAI system (preferred). Knowledge of MOHLTC Act & Regulations (preferred).
