About the Role

Instacart is currently seeking a structured and organized individual to play a vital role as Warehouse Associate . We are looking for an individual with an exceptional track record in the fixed assets warehouse environment, helping set up process and structure in order to maintain more order in a warehouse. You will work with different teams to help ensure we have followed all the process checklist and right documentation for our hardware set up from the moment it arrives to the moment it leaves our warehouse. p>

This role is based in Burlington, Ontario and will require in-person office work at least 4 days a week. This is a three-month fixed term role.

About the Team

The Caper Hardware Deployment Ops team is dedicated to managing the lifecycle of our Caper carts in the US / Canada. We ensure that our hardware undergoes rigorous testing to meet quality standards before being deployed to stores in top notch condition.

Team Leadership: Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse associates. Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and morale.Inventory Control:Implement and enforce inventory management protocols for order entry, goods receipt, and shipment. Drive inventory accuracy by setting and meeting goals, and maintain and improve cycle count reporting.Operations Reporting:Establish and manage a reporting system to monitor and analyze On Time Delivery, Productivity, Inventory, and other relevant warehouse metrics.Equipment Management:Develop and document procedures for the maintenance and support of warehouse equipment.Safety and Compliance:Ensure all warehouse operations adhere to safety regulations and company policies. Promote a safe working environment and conduct regular safety training and audits.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, customers, suppliers, and transport companies to ensure the efficient flow of materials and clear, accurate information.
  • Work closely with logistics and inventory personnel to ensure accurate preparation and recording of items for shipment.
  • Ensure warehouse staff have the necessary tools and training to complete their tasks effectively.
  • Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • Post Secondary Education in Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse lead or in a similar supervisory role within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage inventory control and optimize warehouse processes.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment
  • Ability to simultaneously manage projects and day-to-day operations with a sense of urgency and without compromising quality
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team

Preferred Qualifications

  • JHSC Certified.
  • Valid Reach truck Operator Certification.
