We are looking for an Underwriter to join our team in our Vancouver office As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for managing a renewal portfolio and delivering exceptional response time. If you are career-minded and looking for a dynamic work environment with a growth mindset, you will love working among our team Your day as an Underwriter Evaluate risks and make underwriting decisions based on company guidelines, risk appetite, and pricing strategies. Develop and maintain relationships with broker and clients, providing exceptional customer service and delivering value-added solutions. Manage the submission, quoting, and binding processes for new and renewal business, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness. Collaborate with other underwriters, brokers, and internal teams to drive profitable growth and achieve assigned monthly sales goals. Negotiate policy terms and conditions with brokers and clients, ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements. Analyze data and trends to identify new business opportunities and develop marketing strategies to attract new business. Qualifications 2 to 3 years of experience in P&C underwriting, preferably with an MGA. Solid technical knowledge of P&C insurance products and services, with an ability to apply this knowledge in a creative and innovative manner. Good knowledge of the MS Office Suite. Strong proficiency in data analysis and Excel. Experience in data visualization tools an asset. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to think strategically and translate insights into action. Effective time management and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and precision. The expected salary for this role ranges from $60,000 to $80,000. Annual salary will be determined by factors including prior experience, location, business segment, and relevance of the candidate’s skills to the role.
