The successful candidate will be part of a team of experienced professionals focused on IPL’s dynamic Offgas and Cochrane assets. The role is focused on working to evaluate and progress a number of exciting growth projects and sustainability opportunities for IPL’s Facilities Infrastructure business unit.Key Activities and ResponsibilitiesManage new projects and initiatives from inception to execution including framing up the opportunity, strategy recommendations, economic analysis, customer interaction, contract negotiations and working collaboratively with internal stakeholders.Lead origination efforts through identifying and providing insightful analysis on potential commercial growth opportunities including asset optimization, new projects, new service offerings, new commercial frameworks and margin-based opportunities.Maintain strong relationships within the NGL and midstream infrastructure industry and leverage off those to continually monitor market changes and peer/competitor activities and identify opportunities related to IPLs NGL business.Build, maintain, understand and update economic inputs as they apply to various projects, communicate financial metrics to senior leadership and interpret how changes will impact project value drivers and risks.Provide peer mentorship to junior team members and analysts especially in the area of financial modelling.Education, Skills and ExperienceCompletion of a university degree in business or economics8+ years’ of midstream, or oil and gas industry experience in the Commercial Development / Business Development field; NGL experience considered favourableDemonstrated ability to identify opportunities and execute to deliver resultsDemonstrated ability to interpret and communicate financial and business analysisExperience negotiating and managing commercial and operating agreementsFinancial Modelling experience considered an assetWell-developed presentation, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills are also requiredStrong partnership relationship management skillsMotivated individual able to work independently and as a team playerHighly effective organization skills and attention to detailExcellent communication skills and ability to effectively interact with various internal and external stakeholdersExcellent negotiation and conflict resolution skillsHoursMonday - Friday, 40 hours per weekAs this position is identified as security sensitive, employment of a final candidate will be conditional upon completion of a criminal background check assessments with satisfactory results.While diversity is a fact, inclusion is the act of recognizing the value of our differences and leveraging them for the betterment of our organization.
