Vancouver, Canada Covenant House Vancouver Full time
p>The COO will bring a track record of success as a senior organizational leader, culture-maker, and team builder. Your functional expertise in finance and/or larger corporate services will likely have been gained in a growth-oriented organization in the non-profit, community and/or health and social services field, but certainly it will have been gained in the service and development of others.

With over 27 years of experience providing unconditional love and absolute respect to youth experiencing homelessness, Covenant House Vancouver (“CHV”) makes a positive difference for at-risk youth across Western Canada. The organization helps homeless, at-risk, and trafficked young people aged 16 to 24.

In recent years, CHV has grown significantly, expanding their team and programs in significant ways and to reach more youth in need. Keeping pace with this growth, the role of COO has been established to help provide for additional capacity and to support a highly dedicated and busy operational expertise in their leadership team. Reporting to the CEO, the COO will be responsible for leading finance, philanthropy, facilities, and communications. Key among success factors will be strong forward looking financial analysis, diversification of revenue streams and partners, enhanced safety culture and continuous process improvement. This includes leading the implementation of strategy and driving innovation and efficiency in corporate operations. p>

As the ideal candidate, you bring a track record of success as a senior organizational leader, culture-maker, and team builder. Your functional expertise in finance and/or larger corporate services will likely have been gained in a growth-oriented organization in the non-profit, community and/or health and social services field, but certainly it will have been gained in the service and development of others. p>

This is a gem of an opportunity to have a complex and high impact role in one of the most entrepreneurial not-for-profits in Canada, and in an organisation that makes a real difference in the lives of youth experiencing homelessness.

A significant and sustained effort will be made to encourage candidates from equity-deserving groups and with lived experience of marginalization and oppression (including Black, Indigenous and People of Colour, LGBTQIA2S+ and persons with disabilities) to apply.

Applicants will not be discriminated against because of race, color, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, religion, national origin, citizenship status, disability, ancestry, marital status, veteran status, medical condition, or any other protected category.
