Opportunity We are looking for a Lead Quantitative Research Analyst to join the Quantitative Investments team at RBC Global Asset Management (GAM). Key Responsibilities Work with the head of quantitative research to drive our initiative in the area of machine learning and artificial intelligence with the aim of enhancing investment outcomes, pushing ideas forward, identifying opportunities to improve the team’s investment models, and delivering results. Lead the team’s strategic research initiative in alpha generation and machine learning, and partner with technology and data specialists to build the next-generation modeling platform. Thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven, and team‑focused environment. Collaborate effectively with multi‑disciplinary project teams consisting of research analysts, portfolio managers, data specialists, and technology analysts and developers. Remain at the cutting edge of research and development in quantitative investment and financial data science, continually evolving investment skills and processes. Creatively apply deep expertise in quantitative investing and data science to answer research questions. Embodies cultural values: curiosity, open‑mindedness, adaptability, eagerness to learn, commitment to urgency, high collaboration, and a rigorous scientific approach. Required Qualifications 5–7+ years of research experience. Proven track record in quantitative equity investing. Experience applying machine learning and artificial intelligence to financial data. Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Exceptional curiosity, creativity in research, and a focus on driving investment impact. Master’s degree in data science, finance, applied economics/econometrics/statistics, applied science, or a related field. Strong technical skills required to implement data‑intensive quantitative research. Preferred Qualifications Completion or enrollment in CFA.
