CHEO has evolved to address these changes, including comprehensive cardiac care as part of Ontario’s two-site pediatric cardiovascular surgery program with SickKids Hospital in Toronto.Operate and monitor CHEO’s perfusion equipment for cardiopulmonary bypass, ECMO, cell saver and related point-of-care technologies.Provide on-call coverage to support urgent/emergent surgeries and ECMO initiation/discontinuation.Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other medical professionals to provide optimal patient care.Prepare and review patients’ medical histories and notes to plan for surgeries.Perform administrative duties, including equipment management, supply purchasing, and quality improvement initiatives.Graduate of an accredited program in Cardiovascular Perfusion Technology.Familiarity with key CV Surgery databases including PC4 and STS.CHEO is committed to providing a safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
