An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Development Manager in Montreal with extensive experience in technical team and project leadership to join our PAM/Account Product Engineering Team. p>

The Player Account Management (PAM) product is an exciting area of the business, which sees OpenBet building and evolving its PAM platform in the Amazon cloud, in partnership with large technology providers. p>

If you like building a strong team across multiple sites and time zones, with a focus on delivery efficiency and quality, then this is a fantastic opportunity for you to get involved in OpenBet’s Player Account Platform.

Maintaining and improving the quality of the product.Appropriate engagement with customers (in timezone) representing OpenBet in a senior engineering capacity.Direct line management of more junior managers, Development Leads, and Principal software engineers.Indirect line manager responsibility for multiple Development teams.Key stakeholder liaison and alignment with senior product management and, where appropriate, external customers and technology partners.Lead shaping software engineering practices and processes whilst ensuring we maintain a strong delivery focus.Measuring and driving delivery and quality improvement through the capture and analysis of metrics.Definition, implementation, and evolution of development team technical processes.Work with Engineering management to drive through best practices, techniques, and technology both on the team and around the company.Planning, implementation, and evolution of technical processes and feedback to the wider company.Accountable for the quality of the implementation and deployment of development work.Accountable for the security, capacity, and performance of the system.Motivating and driving the team with technical leadership and vision.
  • Strong and demonstrable experience managing teams of highly technical staff – including managing through other managers.
  • Strong development pedigree acquired during a previous hands-on development role.
  • Good managerial and leadership skills, able to motivate and lead personal development plans for employees as well as driving change and handling difficult situations both internally and externally.
  • Ability to work as part of a senior management group.
  • Being opinionated, especially about quality, and driven to empirically demonstrate improvements introduced.
  • Flexible to work across different time zones (Americas and EU) and deal with a multitude of cultures.

    Fluent English is required for this role, as successful candidates will work closely with colleagues across OpenBet. OpenBet has offices in multiple countries across the world, and English is used as the common language across these locations.

    This position is hybrid, 2 days a week in the office which is located near Peel metro station. Days in the office and working hours are flexible.
