Accommodations are available upon request for candidates taking part in the recruitment process.ResponsibilitiesDevelop mechanical system design solutions based on engineering principlesProvide technical support to internal and external customersEnsure all relevant regulatory and client requirements are metEnsure all initiatives and processes are in conformance with the Company’s established policies and corporate prioritiesInterpret client requirements, identify and address design parameters and engineering problems and ensure solutions are implemented accurately and within budgetAnalyze project requirements and perform technical calculations supporting the designCreate and finalize designs to meet project requirementsSpecify system components to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specificationsCommission customized products and systems in house and at customer facilitiesMaintain complete confidentiality pertaining to any company businessComply with established rules, procedures and Health & Safety Policy mandates and report any non-complianceFamiliarize and adhere to all company policies as detailed in the Company Policy ManualOther tasks, projects and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Engineering ManagerDuties IncludeDevelop, evaluate and implement innovative technical solutionsProvide technical advice to in-house and external clientsParticipate directly in the design and development of technical projectsParticipate directly in the engineering work of the departmentMaintain accurate records and files according to Company standardsComplete tasks on time and within budget or notify the Engineering Manager of an alternative planWork additional hours as necessary and with the approval of the Engineering Manager, to complete a job within the project timelineRequirementsPost-secondary college diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalentMinimum 2 years’ experience as a Designer in a multi discipline engineering environmentStrong fundamental knowledge of mechanical design and its applicationSound knowledge of detailing practicesStrong planning, organizational and time management skillsProficient in SolidWorks software and MS OfficeCritical thinking with exceptional problem-solving skillsAble to handle multiple projects and activities simultaneouslyAble to work independently or in a team environmentDemonstrate a high level of integrity and trustDemonstrate composure under pressureExcellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishValid driver’s licenseAbility to use and wear personal protective equipment as requiredJob TypeFull-timePay$28.00-$34.00 per hourBenefitsDental careExtended health careLife insuranceRRSP matchVision careWork LocationIn personPlease forward resumes to tsmith@nmtech.com #J-18808-Ljbffr
