Accountability Objective The Human Resources Manager provides strategic leadership for core HR functions, focusing on HRMS implementation, recruitment, talent management, employee training, and total compensation. This role ensures HR operations are efficient, compliant, and aligned with business goals, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement. The Manager also drives the adoption of AI-enabled efficiencies to enhance HR processes and employee experience. The overarching objective is to support the organization’s commitment to exemplary employment practices and quality care, while contributing to shareholder value and promoting company values at all levels. Background/Qualifications A related university degree. A minimum of three years of experience in a human resources position in a mid to large-sized company, with preference within the healthcare or hospitality sector. Strong knowledge of HR technology platforms and project management methodologies. Detail oriented and demonstrated ability to analyze data, solve problems, and drive organizational change. Experience with compensation analysis, market surveys, and rewards program design. Experience leading and conducting training. A high level of spoken and written communication skills and demonstrated capacity to influence and earn the respect of others. A certified Human Resources Professional designation would be an advantage. This role is based in a corporate office setting and may require occasional travel. A valid driver’s license and vehicle in good working order is required. Key Responsibilities HRMS Implementation: Lead the deployment and optimization of HRMS solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes. Collaborate with IT, vendors, and internal stakeholders to define requirements, manage project timelines, conduct system testing, and oversee user adoption. Leverage AI technology to improve HR systems and services within company parameters, driving efficiencies in processes such as recruitment, talent management, and employee engagement. Administer and oversee employee-related plans, including benefit plans, pension plans, Worker’s Compensation, third party insurance plans, disability plans, and any other benefits or coverage related to employees. Ensure compliance, effective communication, and ongoing evaluation of these programs to support employee well‑being and organizational objectives. Training and Development: Design and deliver comprehensive training programs. Assess training needs, develop instructional materials, and facilitate sessions to enhance employee skills and knowledge across all levels. Total Compensation and Rewards: Develop, administer, and keep continuously updated compensation structures, incentive plans, and employee recognition programs. Conduct market benchmarking, analyze compensation data, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. HR Policy and Compliance: Maintain and update applicable HR policies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and adherence to employment laws. Serve as a trusted advisor on compliance issues and best practices. Employee Relations: Support a positive workplace culture through effective conflict resolution, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives. Reporting and Analytics: Utilize HRMS and other data sources to generate reports, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights to leadership for strategic decision‑making. Recruit and oversee the management of direct reports, ensuring goals are achieved and performance is to standards of the profession and legislated requirements. Provides proactive services to General Managers and line managers in all human resources areas. Conducts residence audits, providing reports and recommendations. Participates in the Verve Quality Improvement (VQI) Program. Complies with all corporate policies and procedures. Completes all required mandatory training/education. Complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, and Workplace Hazardous Material Information System. This includes recognizing health and safety hazards, reporting incidents, fulfilling responsibilities under the applicable legislation, and participating in in‑services and fire drills.
