Our client is looking for a Sr. Cyber Security Analyst to lead the execution of various planned cyber security projects for a Financial client. [note: this is a salaried role; onsite in Edmonton]

Overview: Our Client is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Analyst to lead and execute end-to-end cybersecurity projects focused on Identity Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and DNS Protection. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise configuring and deploying cybersecurity solutions, working independently to drive initiatives forward, and coordinating with both local and international stakeholders to meet compliance requirements. This is a new position designed to support our growth and recent expansion in Canada, reporting to the CIO.

Must Have's: 5+ years

of experience in a senior cyber security role, with proven expertise in

implementing IAM, PAM, and EDR

solutions. Technical project leadership

experience, capable of independently managing cybersecurity projects end-to-end, including

architecting and configuring

security systems. Strong

hands-on skills

in

configuring IAM application connectors, EntraID ,

firewall rules , and network security protocols. Relevant certifications

in cybersecurity (e.g.,

CISSP, CEH, OSCP )

Nice to Have's: Knowledge of cloud security best practices, particularly within Azure or AWS environments. A bachelor’s degree in computer science is preferred. However, candidates with an IT-related diploma will also be considered with additional experience

Responsibilities: Lead and execute

cyber security initiatives, including

technical implementation and configuration

of IAM, PAM, EDR, DLP, and other security systems within a

financial services context . Architect and configure security controls

and best practices across key cybersecurity technologies to ensure

robust security posture . Collaborate with stakeholders

(local and international) to gather project requirements, define scope, and drive projects forward. Develop and enforce policies

related to

Zero Trust

and

Data Protection

to ensure compliance with

regulatory standards .
