Description:
Shared Health (1502-155 Carlton Street, Winnipeg MB, R3C 5R9), The University of Manitoba, and the Department of Internal Medicine are inviting applications for an Infectious Disease Specialist. Main job duties include diagnosing and treating diseases, prescribing medications and treatment, ordering lab tests and x-rays, and consulting with other physicians as required. The Section of Infectious Diseases is one of 18 academic sections in the Department of Internal Medicine providing patient care, education, and research. The successful candidate will have an academic appointment within the Section of Infectious Diseases with a start date of August 1, 2025, negotiable based on the successful candidate’s availability. Rank will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
Qualifications:
Candidates must demonstrate broad experience in the clinical management of infectious diseases and must be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Certification in Infection Diseases is preferred, and candidates must have senior specialty qualifications with Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease in their current country of practice.
Compensation:
Compensation is derived from fee-for-service income.
